  • Compliance checking and security auditing of owned infrastructure
  • Security research and threat modeling on authorized systems
  • Configuration review and best-practice validation
  • Development and integration of security testing into CI/CD pipelines
  • Training and educational purposes with proper authorization
  • Authorized security testing performed on behalf of clients (with written authorization)

2. Prohibited Activities

You are strictly prohibited from using Secuvon for any of the following activities:

Unauthorized Security Testing

You may not conduct security testing on systems, applications, or networks that you do not own or control, or for which you do not have explicit written authorization from the authorized representative or owner. This includes:

  • Testing competitor systems or applications
  • Testing third-party services without permission
  • Port scanning or network reconnaissance on unauthorized targets
  • Web application testing without authorization

Denial-of-Service Attacks

Any attempt to disrupt service availability through Secuvon is strictly prohibited, including:

  • Denial-of-Service (DoS) attacks
  • Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attacks
  • Resource exhaustion attacks targeting Secuvon infrastructure
  • Attempting to overwhelm or crash systems using our tools

Security Circumvention

You may not attempt to bypass, circumvent, or disable security controls, authentication mechanisms, or access restrictions, including:

  • Attempting to access unauthorized accounts or functions
  • Bypassing rate limiting or throttling controls
  • Circumventing payment mechanisms or account restrictions
  • Reverse engineering or decompiling Secuvon software

Credential & Key Management Violations

Your API credentials and authentication tokens are personal and confidential. You may not:

  • Share or distribute your API keys, tokens, or credentials
  • Commit credentials to public repositories or version control systems
  • Use another user's credentials or account
  • Grant access to your account without proper authorization
  • Sell, trade, or transfer API access to third parties

Competing Product Development

You may not use Secuvon to develop, create, or improve competing security products or services, including:

  • Building alternative security analysis platforms
  • Scraping or harvesting Secuvon capabilities for resale
  • Creating wrapper services that directly resell Secuvon functionality
  • Using Secuvon as a component in competing offerings without authorization

Illegal Activities

You may not use Secuvon for any purpose that is illegal or violates applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights, including intellectual property infringement, fraud, or harassment.

Malware and Harmful Content

You may not use Secuvon to develop, distribute, or test malware, viruses, or other malicious code.

User Abuse

You may not harass, threaten, abuse, or defame other users or Secuvon personnel.

3. Authorization Requirements

When performing security testing on systems you do not directly own (such as testing for clients or as part of authorized penetration testing), you must:

  • Obtain written authorization from the system owner or authorized representative
  • Define the scope of testing clearly in your authorization documentation
  • Establish rules of engagement and testing windows
  • Maintain documentation of authorization for audit purposes
  • Comply with all terms outlined in your testing agreement

Testing without proper authorization violates both this policy and applicable computer fraud and unauthorized access laws.

4. Data Collection and Use

When using Secuvon, you may encounter sensitive data in scan results, logs, or configurations. You agree to:

  • Treat all scan results and findings as confidential
  • Not share findings with unauthorized parties
  • Comply with applicable data protection regulations (including GDPR)
  • Ensure proper handling of personally identifiable information (PII) discovered during testing
  • Report security findings responsibly to affected organizations

5. Rate Limiting and Resource Use

To maintain service stability for all users, we enforce rate limits and usage quotas. You may not:

  • Attempt to bypass rate limiting or throttling controls
  • Consume excessive resources that degrade service for other users
  • Use automated tools to circumvent usage restrictions
  • Perform tests at volumes beyond your subscription tier

6. Consequences of Violation

Violations of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in the following actions:

  • Warning: First offense may result in a warning and request to cease the behavior
  • Suspension: Temporary suspension of your account access pending investigation
  • Termination: Permanent termination of your account and access to Secuvon
  • Legal Action: We may pursue legal remedies for serious violations, including those involving unauthorized access or fraud
  • Law Enforcement Reporting: We may report violations to law enforcement if they constitute criminal activity

Secuvon reserves the right to take immediate action without prior warning for severe violations, such as unauthorized access attempts or malicious activity.

7. Reporting Violations

If you are aware of violations of this policy or have concerns about other users' conduct, please report them through the contact form:

Please include details about the violation, affected systems or users, and any relevant evidence or logs.

We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. Reporters of good-faith violations will be protected from retaliation.
