Enterprise AI

The challenge

Enterprise AI deployments operate under constraints that consumer and startup applications typically do not face. Regulatory compliance, data sovereignty, audit requirements, and the scale of potential impact create a unique security landscape that demands systematic, documented, and continuous testing.

The compliance burden for enterprise AI is substantial and growing. The EU AI Act requires comprehensive risk management, technical documentation, and robustness testing for high-risk AI systems. SOC 2 audits ask for evidence of security monitoring. HIPAA covered entities must demonstrate that AI systems handling protected health information have appropriate safeguards. Organisations that run an ISO 27001 information security management system must include their AI systems in it.

Enterprise deployments also face heightened data security risks. An AI system with access to enterprise data may contain proprietary information about customers, employees, financial performance, strategic plans, and intellectual property. A successful attack on an enterprise AI system can result in data breaches orders of magnitude larger than attacks on consumer-facing chatbots.

Supply chain risks add another layer of complexity. Enterprise AI applications frequently integrate with multiple providers, use fine-tuned models, and connect to internal systems through complex middleware. Each integration point introduces potential vulnerabilities that must be tested and monitored.

The organisational challenge is equally significant. Enterprise security teams must coordinate between ML engineers, application developers, security engineers, compliance officers, and legal teams. Each stakeholder has different requirements, different risk tolerances, and different definitions of what constitutes an acceptable vulnerability.

    76 tests in the corpus

  • Governance & Audit

Pressure to bypass review, logging and approval steps.

    80 tests in the corpus

  • Supply Chain Attacks

Attacks through the models, plugins and packages an application depends on.

    45 tests in the corpus

  • Financial AI

Domain tests for financial services assistants.

    60 tests in the corpus

  • Healthcare AI

    Domain tests for healthcare assistants.

    60 tests in the corpus

  • Auth & Session Security

Attempts to cross identity and session boundaries.

    42 tests in the corpus

An assessment sends its tests to the agent you register, through a hosted provider or your own HTTP endpoint. Choose a versioned profile, from Smoke 25 through the full 4,075-test corpus, within your contract capacity. A profile draws a fixed set of tests from these modules, so a module's whole count runs only with the full corpus. Every answer is graded by the published rule for its test, and the report keeps the transcript as evidence.

Illustrative scenarios

Hypothetical examples of the attack classes above, written for this page. They are not incidents Secuvon investigated or customer cases.

Financial services AI leaks trading strategies

An AI assistant deployed within a hedge fund's research platform is targeted by a multi-turn attack. The adversary, posing as a legitimate analyst, uses a series of comparative analysis requests to extract details about proprietary trading algorithms and position sizing models from the assistant's training data and connected knowledge bases.

Healthcare AI discloses patient records

An AI system used for clinical decision support is manipulated through indirect injection via a compromised medical reference document. When clinicians query the system about treatment protocols, the poisoned document causes the AI to include specific patient identifiers and diagnoses in its responses, violating HIPAA privacy requirements.

Enterprise search AI bypasses access controls

A company-wide AI search assistant that federates across multiple internal systems is exploited through a privilege escalation attack. An employee with limited access uses carefully crafted queries to cause the AI to retrieve and summarise documents from executive-level repositories, board meeting minutes, and M&A planning folders that their role should not have access to.

The regulations named above are context, not a promise. Secuvon reports executed test evidence for a qualified reviewer; it does not certify a system or determine whether it complies with any law or standard.
